For long-term storage （up to two years）, the Whirl-Pak® Retain Bag will protect the sample and save money and space.
• Made from a barrier film of polyethylene and polyester
• Has extremely low permeability for oxygen and moisture
The result is that sample integrity will be maintained during storage for both liquids and solids. These bags are sterilized with radiation, because gas sterilization will not penetrate this film. If a sample is going to be tested periodically, closing the bag in the regular manner will be sufficient. However, if the bag will be kept closed for an extended period, then a heat sealer can be used to give the bag a permanent seal.
Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times. Volume and dimensions are approximate; bags should not be used at temperatures above 180° F （82° C）. Bags can be frozen to any temperature, even liquid nitrogen – careful handling required after freezing. All bags are sterilized after manufacturing.
