In Vitro: BAY 41-2272 (10 μM; 15 min) increases cGMP levels by itself and synergizes with the NO donor SNP (100?μΜ) in A7r5 rat aortic smooth muscle cells.

In Vivo: BAY 41-2272 (0.3-3 mg/kg; p.o.; single dose; monitored for 12 h) has inhibitory effect in hypertensive dog.
