Hydrostatic Level Transmitter series 8000

A wide range of all stainless steel level transmitters from Klay Instruments. A compact and rugged design with a 4-20mA output. Suitable for application in many industries.

The series 8000 level transmitter is internally adjustable on zero and span by 2 potentiometers. The instrument is fully temperature compensated.  All industrial process connections can be supplied. Various certifications like ATEX Exi, Lloyd's and more. For level applications with topmounting our submersible level transmitter type “Hydrobar" can be used.

The series 8000 level transmitter can be used on non sanitary level applications where a flush diaphragm is needed. For example for measuring (waste)water and oil. The instruments all have astrong flush mounted diaphragm.

Typical process connection for this type is G1 (1"BSP). For the pulp & paper industry special connections are available. Many existing connections from competitors, like the PASVE connection can be supplied.

Inligent Level Transmitter Series 2000

A wide range of all stainless microprocessor based level transmitters for all industries. Easy programming by 3 push buttons and local display, without test pressure. The series 2000 level transmitter is fully temperature compensated. Standard output 4-20mA with option HART protocol.

This level transmitter has a special linearisation function for various tank shapes. Calibration can be done locally or by Hand Held Terminal (HART), or with Klay software.The series 2000 level transmitter can be used on a non-sanitary level measurement were a flush diaphragm is needed. For example on water, pulp&paper, and starch.

The instrument has a strong flush mounted diaphragm and a small G1 (1"BSP) process connection. For the Pulp & paper industry special process connections are available, like Flanges, or the PASVE connection.

Submersible Level Transmitter series "HYDROBAR"

A wide range of submersible level transmitters with cable or stainless steel tube extension. The Hydrobar is used as topmounted level transmitter in waterworks, deep wells, underground tanks and concrete bunkers.

The transmitter is fully temperature compensated. The output is 4-20 mA / 2-wire. The strong diaphragm is laser welded which results in a perfect long term stability.

The Hydrobar level transmitter is available with a fixed or adjustable range. For the fixed range type FR all electronics are incorporated in the submersible sensor part.

The adjustable type has a separate stainless steel  housing containing the electronics. Zero and span can  be adjusted inside the housing.  A variety of mounting options is available.  Examples are cable clamp, wall mounting bracket, flange and threaded connection.

Hydrobar-S and Hydrobar-I

The Hydrobar-S is a microprocessor based submersible level transmitter for topmounting. Easy programming with 3 push buttons and display without test pressure.

The Hydrobar-I is available with HART Protocol and can be adjusted both locally or by HHT or PC with special Klay software. Mounting options are the same as for the standard Hydrobar.

The Hydrobar-I is the newest instrument in the range. A separate housing is no longer needed as all electronics are integrated in the submersible sensor part.

The Hydrobar-I can be adjusted  with HART protocol or Klay software. Various mounting options are available for topmounting and sidemounting.

Specials

High Temperature (HT) versions
For High temperature applications we manufacture the series 8000-SAN and 2000-SAN with special cooling fins or with separate electronics. The compact version with cooling fins can go up to 180°C and with the cooling fins and separate electronics we can go up to 280°C. The lowest range for these high temperature versions is 0.4 bar.

Extended diaphragms
These are flange mounted level transmitters with an extended diaphragm. The extension length and diameter must be specified. The transmitters have a strong flush mounted diaphragm and are fully temperature compensated. The technical specifications are equal to our series 8000-SAN or 2000-SAN.

The Hydrobar level transmitter from Klay Instruments is also available as a valve model. The sensor part can easily be removed from the valve during operation. The instrument is sea water resistant and protected against water hammer. Very suitable for draught measurement on ships.

The Hydrobar-VALVE is BV certified and can be supplied in a standard version (series 8000) and the inligent design with HART protocol (Series 2000). Process connections for example weld-on nipple, DIN flange or ANSI flange.

Level Switches

Klay Instruments offers a wide range of ?All Stainless“  levelswitches, mainly for use in the Food & Pharmaceutical industry and the water & waste water industry.
The Vibra-Switch levelswitches are available in 2 models. The C version is the compact  levelswitch with a connector or cable connection and the S version is equipped with a complete stainless steel electronics housing.

The FLX level switch is based on the principle of conductivity. It is an all stainless steel levelswitch with a rugged design. All standard process connections, like G1“ thread, milkcoupling, Tri-clamp and flanges are available.

The hygienic level switch KMW is microprocessor based and can be installed in any position in tanks or piping systems. The measuring principle is an electromagnetic wave.

A high frequency signal sweep is radiated from the sensor tip into the tank or pipe. The medium acts as a virtual capacitor. This virtual capacity will depend of the dielectric value of the medium and is well defined for most media. Therefore the KMW is suitable for almost all liquids and paste-like medias. There are 7 base settings for several medias.
