Typical Fields of Application are in the chemical, petrochemical, railroad and shipbuilding industries, in the machine and industrial equipment construction. CSN? circulation heaters are manufactured in close coordination with our customers from a few watts to the megawatt range, a division in individual circuits is made according to customer’s requirements. Equipment for installation in hazardous areas we produce in protection class ?Ex d“, ?Ex de“, ?Ex e“.
On request, CSN? circulation heaters are supplied with optimized process controls. Please contact us to talk about the most appropriate control system. Schniewindt is certified by the Lloyd’s Register to produce equipment according to the Pressure Vessel Directive 97/23/EG and a certificate from TüV (Technical Monitoring Agency) certifies that we meet the prerequisites for welding procedures according to AD 2000 Merkblatt HP 0 / DIN EN 729-3.
A wide range of possible applications in the electric heating of liquids and gases, high quality electric CSN? tubular heating elements produced by Schniewindt and a surface load perfectly adapted to the process condition in combination with the use of high quality stainless steels ensure a long service life, high efficiency by direct heating of the fluid, easy operation and low maintenance costs.
Highly compacted U-shaped CSN? tubular heating elements are welded or hard soldered into blind flanges with diameters up to DN 1000 (40") and inserted and mechanically fixed to cylindrical (tubular) pressure vessel. According to customer’s specification, the vessel will have nozzles prepared for welding, threaded pipe couplings or welding neck flanges. The terminal housings comply with protection class IP-65. The production of the CSN? circulation heaters is according to the guidelines of Directive 97/23/EC (Pressure Equipment Directive), the tubular heating elements in diameters of 8,5 mm, 11,5 mm and 16 mm are available, on request, sealed according to the Giso process, guaranteeing a high insulation resistance. Various stainless steel materials for different fluids are available. Depending on customer’s requirements, our heaters are designed with kilowatt ratings up to the megawatt range. For a precise temperature control, mechanical thermostats or temperature limiters, Pt-100 RTD’s or thermocouples are available.

CSN? flange heaters are manufactured with high-compression tubular heating elements in the diameters 8.5 mm, 11.5 mm or 16 mm.
Typical areas of application are the chemical industry, shipbuilding, railroad industry, plastics industry and the heat transfer technology.
CSN? flange heaters ensure a long service life by employing process optimized tubular heating elements with GISO closure. They are uniquely suitable, both for liquid media such as water, various oils, caustic solution, etc. as well as for gases (air, nitrogen, smoke gases). Flange heaters are marked by a high degree of efficiency (direct heating of the medium) and minimum maintenance costs.

Versions:
High-compression U-shaped bent CSN? tubular heating elements are welded into flanges up to DN 800, hard soldered or installed interchangeably. The tubular heating elements used can be closed using the GISO process if desired. Insulation resistances in the gigaohm range are achieved. Various special steel materials are available for different media and temperature requirements. If requested by the customer, we realize heating capacities into themegawatt range. Thermocouples, PT 100 or mechanical regulators or temperature limiters are available forprecise temperature control. The connection method and number of connection groups can be implemented according to customer specifications.

CSN? air heaters are characterized by a wide range of uses and applications. In addition to the use in industrial drying and in process technology, they can be mainly used in workshops, air conditioners, construction sites, cranes and lounges. They are used for direct heating of flowing air or non-flammable gases and mixtures.
CSN? air heaters are available in different variants. Besides the use of CSN? tubular heating elements, we also obstruct CSN? heating grid.

Home CSN? Tank Heater
CSN? tank heating units are particularly suitable for the direct heating of liquids (Oil, Water, Emulsions), air and gases. They contribute to the avoidance of paraffin clouds in fuel oil or Diesel storage tanks.
In relation to the process, we provide you with tank heating units with tubular heating elements made of stainless steel which we adjust to the respective application situation and the medium to be heated in consultation with you.
We offer our series “THF" a suspended, on a chain flexible solution to keep heating oil or diesel fuel in the extraction line pumpable. As a fixed version, we recommend our industrial immersion heaters for heating liquids.

Home CSN? Pre-Heater
CSN? Pre-Heater consists of one or more CSN? Flow Heaters, which are equipped with a valve and a pump, as well as stand-alone controller.
Tasks
Combustion engines requiring immediate operational readiness must be preheated before starting. The well-known cold start problems are eliminated and the engine can be operated at full load from the beginning. Furthermore, cold start wear is considerably reduced. Typical fields of application for this type of pre-heater units are e.g. emergency power units (Diesel engine + generator) or locomotives and ships (Diesel engine for propulsion).
Unit functions
While the combustion engine is cold and out of operation, the cooling agent is pumped through the cooling loop of the combustion engine and through the circulation heater. The cooling liquid is circulated by a pump mounted on the pre-heating unit.
Preheating of the cooling circuit provides a homogeneous heating of the motor. Once the cooling system is heated, the temperature is held constantly at the desired set-point.
The heater is switched off, when the engine is in operation. A check valve mounted on the heater prevents the coolant to circulate through the heater during normal operation of the engine.

CSN? copper and nickel are temperature-resistant connecting cables for internal wiring of electric household appliances such as hot-plates, glass ceramic plates, grill appliances or storage heaters.
In industrial applications CSN? Cables are preferably used for the wiring of heating elements, heating cartridges, tubular heaters, panel heaters, and quartz radiators.
We manufacture these single-core cables in cross sections up to 10 mm2. Owing to their high temperature resistanceup to 250 °C in the case of glass silk insulation and 600 °C in the case of mineral fibre insulation, these connecting cables meet the most demanding requirements.

The CSN? tubular heating elements are of versatile application and have a long life span, if appropriay used. The tubular heating elements serve for the calefaction of gases, liquids and solid matters. The configuration of the elements is jointly decisive for the effectiveness. CSN ? tubular heating elements are available as round heating elements in diameters of 6.5 / 8.5 / 11.5 and 16 mm.
