Automatic Low Pressure Spray Guns

To give you the best finishing technology for your demand we offer three different application methods for spray painting with low pressure, suitable for different materials and demands.

• Conventional spraying
• High efficiency spraying
• HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure)

Conventional spray painting is using high velocity air jets at high pressure to create high atomization. This is suitable for painting where the result must have the best appearance quality. By using the conventional method you will reach high gloss and the best result in color and DOI (Distinction of Image). However the paint consumption is higher. Operating pressure is around 2 to 4 bars (30 to 60 psi).

HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) uses more air at lower velocity to atomize the paint, compared to the conventional paint spraying. The lower air pressure creates larger paint particles, which will give you a lower finish quality. However, it creates less overspray that increases the transfer efficiency. HVLP operates at 0,7 bar (10 psi) at the air cap in order to bring 65% transfer efficiency.

High Efficiency is a combination of both of the above methods, and thus it offers you both a high quality of finish and high transfer efficiency. Here the air cap pressure is between 1,3 and 3 bars (20 to 45 psi) and we exceed 65% transfer efficiency. This is a great combination and offers best advantages of both of the above technologies.

To give you the best finishing technology for your demand we offer three different application methods. Our robust and high performance guns comes in three different versions:

All guns can be equipped with Conventional, HVLP and High Efficient technology. Stainless steel tips and needles for use with water based materials are standard on all guns.

VERSATILE GUN FOR DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS
The manual low pressure spray guns can be adapted according to different customers needs by various combinations of components. Fan width control can in addition to adjustable control be lockable, preset, quick- or max/min-adjustable. The gun can be used with or without control on the needle, with different sizes of connection nipples, and with different types and materials for the fluid needle, ie tungsten carbide, plastic or stainless steel.

BUILD IN FILTER FOR OPTIMUM QUALITY
The manual low pressure spray guns can be equipped with a replaceable strainer inside the fluid nozzle which is filtering the paint just before leaving the gun. The strainer will reduce the risk that any contamination caused by the fluid pipes or hoses reaches the surface. The main advantage is that the strainer will homogenize the paint, especially when metallic base coat is applied.

Products

Hoses for paint and air supply - low pressure

For your painting choose between the traditional two hoses to the gun, one for air and one for paint, and the unique hose Ecco Ergotube. Ecco Ergotube is a unique system to supply air and paint to the spray gun through a patented combo-hose, where the paint hose is placed inside the air hose.

The ECCO Ergotube solution reduces the total weight and twist torque, making the handling of the gun much easier for the painter. This hose hose can be used for most types of paint (primer, base-, top- and clear coat) as the material of the paint hose reduces the risk of contamination in the final coating of the surface. The paint hose in teflon (FEP as standard in ? 4-6 mm internal) makes flushing easier and reduces the use of solvent. The special finish on the outer surface of the air hose prevents paint from adhering to it, making cleaning easier. Also available with paint hose in PTFE.

Automatic High Pressure Spray Guns

ECCO 380A and 380AA are automatic Airless and Air Assist spray guns, designed to fit most types of high-pressure applications in automated production lines. Valve seat and needle tip is made in tungsten carbide for long durability. Both guns can be changed in less than two minutes without any loss in mechanical precision or performance. Material circulation is provided through the manifold even when the gun is in closed position. A wide variety of spray tips are available for all types of applications, with a perfect finish of the treated surface.

ECCO 380AA - AIR ASSIST
ECCO 380AA, is an automatic Air Assisted spray gun, designed to fit most types of applications in automated production lines, especially wood and steel industry. 

ECCO 380A - AIRLESS
ECCO 380A is suitable for cold as well as hot industrial spraying, where high finish is required. It is available with or without nozzle fix in step of 30, 45 or 90 degrees. Sealing rings and o-rings made in FEP material for waterborne paint and UV paint, alternay sealing rings and o-rings in perflour 128 for higher demands.

Manual High Pressure Spray Guns

At airless spray painting, paint is fed at high pressure from a pump to spray gun. Due to the high paint pressure, the paint is atomised as it passes the spray tip of the spray gun. The airless spray painting method is particularly suitable for applying thick coats on large areas. It is by far the most popular method for the anti-corrosion treatment of steel structures and for painting the insides and outsides of buildings. It is also used by the manufacturing industry to paint furniture, machines etc. sometimes in combination with hot spray painting.

Air Assist spray painting first partially atomizes the fluid with a special fluid nozzle tip similar to a standard airless tip. Second, they complete the atomization with small amounts of compressed air from the face and/or the horns of the air nozzle that they use. The result is a finely atomized spray pattern closely resembling that of a compressed air system. The paint is supplied from a high pressure pump and is atomized by the spray tip. Additional air meets the spray fan at the tip to ensure a smooth-edged spray pattern. Air Assist spraying gives a soft spray pattern with high finish, high capacity and less spray mist.

Spray tips for airless spray painting

ECCOMANT tungsten carbide airless tips are manufactured to high standards of accuracy to ensure an accurate spray fan and promote long service life. The tips can be used with all ECCO airless spray guns as well as other spray guns. The tip is held by the retaining ring of the gun. 

The self-cleaning ECCO Quick-TIP can easily be cleaned by turning the tip 180° and a short paint blast will clear the spray tip orifice. The holder for ECCO Quick-TIP is available with thread that suits all airless spray guns.

The EccoMix spray tips are used in the EccoMix spray gun, using the air assist technique.

The ECCOMANT Air assist Tip is a tungsten carbide nozzle designed for the automatic air assisted spray gun Ecco 380AA. Manufactured to high standards of accuracy for long lifetime and precise spray pattern.

Stirrers

The Ecco ELM and Ecco Helix stirrers effectively prevent sedimentation and unwanted colour- and viscosity variations in the fluid. The stirrers can be installed in most types of fluid containers. The shaft and propellers are made in stainless steel, making the stirrers perfect also for abrasive and water borne fluids.

Explosion proof and robust

An air-powered stirrer is the natural choice when explosion proofing is needed. The air motors have no windings and do not generate any sparks. Ecco stirrers can be loaded to standstill without any risk of damage and be utilized in continous duty at full power 24 hours a day. Dust moisture and high temperatures have no influence on their performance. The compressed air serves as coolant and keeps impurities away.

Small and silent but powerful

The air-powered stirrers are light and powerful, compare to electrical stirrers with the same power are both significant heavier and bigger. High starting torque makes air motors easy to start also after long stops in high viscosity materials. Air consumption is low and speed is steplessly adjustable by means of the extra air needle valve. In order to keep the fluid clean the air exhaust is directed from the container and equipped with a silencer. The air can easily be lead away through a tube connected to the thread exhaust opening. High quality motor shaft seals prevent moisture from entering the gears.

Ecco Power Flow - complete range of high pressure pumps

ECCO Power Flow pump series are the perfect choice for a large variety of industries such as general industry, wood, protective coatings, marine/offshore and more. The pump series range is suitable for liquids from low to very high viscosities, primers, finish paints and paints containing varied particle size. The high paint pressure required for airless paint is generated by strong, double acting air operated pumps. The pumps have high performance air motors that ensures a faster change over. This makes the pulsation disappear and the lacquer processing more  stable, versus a conventional mechanical change over which has a high pulsation. The pumps are produced to reach the highest standard of quality and life time and they are available in a range of fluid and pressures ratios: 14:1, 22:1, 28:1, 40:1. 60:1 and 75:1.

ECCO BRC BLAST UNITS for open-air work are safe and one of the most efficient units on the market. The units are approved for work at 10.5 bar working pressure, giving a 20% higher working capacity than at a working pressure of 7 bar. 

ECCO BRC BLAST UNITS are available 120 litre version and in the bigger 200 litre version. All units have a remote-control device with dead-man’s handle and a twin-hose as standard equipment. Both the BRC-120 and the BRC-200 are equipped with adjustable abrasive metering valves for all common types of abrasive. The units are easy to move, making them perfect for most tough worksites like i.e. road-work, bridges, and on large steel constructions.

The Ecco 410 applicator (3D gun) has been in successful operation in automotive installations globally since 2004. Many options exist and unique features have been developed in close co-operation with our customers. Hence, we today have a very versatile range of applicators for viscous material used in seam sealing, sound dampening and cosmetic sealing. 

The main advantage of Ecco 410 is its market leading low weight of only 3.7 kg for the aluminium version. This benefit grant the usage of smaller and more cost effective robots.

Ecco is introducing a new 3D gun for application of high viscosity sprayable materials.
This 3D-gun, or applicator, is used for two types of applications:
- Sealing applications to protect car bodies against corrosion and water ingress,
- Sound deadening applications
Ecco 408 is a basic applicator designed to work with all makes of robots. There is no material circulation (dead end applicator) or heating sensors for the applied material. Current version (Product number 8611 4146 00) has the main components in Aluminium and is suitable for application of PVC and bitumen based material. For water based material, a stainless steel version of Ecco 408 is in the works. 
Compared to other products on the market, this applicator is unique due to low weight, minimal twist torque and slim design. For more complex applications where temperature and pressure sensors and material recirculation may be required, we recommend the Ecco 410. 

- The total weight of the applicator (without hoses) is only 2.7kg. This makes it easier for the robot to react and manoeuvre. In addition, it is possible to use a 10kg (5kg if the product pressure is below 100 bar) robot instead of a bigger and more complex robot installation.
- The solenoid and product valves are integrated into the applicator for shortest possible reaction time.
- The slim design makes it possible to reach highly confined spaces

ECCO-470

For cosmetic sealing

Home / Products / SPRAY GUNS / 3D-guns for sealing / ECCO-470The Ecco 470 is a version of the 408 and 410 range of sealing applicators specifically designed for cosmetic sealing. Main applications are sealing beads for folded or bonded door panels and bonnet/hood and trunk lid panels.
The main advantages of the swivelling Ecco 470 applicators are low weight (less than 5kg) and compact overall dimensions leading to very flexible adaptation.
