IBA-go作為后基因組時代表達克隆和蛋白質純化技術zui重要的供應商之一,，德國IBA公司開發(fā)了一個稱為Strep-tag的通用技術平臺。這種快速,、合算,、多樣性地生產和使用重組蛋白的技術平臺是IBA與TU Munich的Arne Skerra博士教授密切合作開發(fā)而成。除了圍繞Strep-tag的大型產品組合外,，IBA還*提供應用該技術的蛋白質生產定制服務,。Strep-tag技術開發(fā)的原理是*的生物素（biotin）和抗生物素蛋白鏈菌素（streptavidin）之間的結合反應。為了將這種牢固的相互作用用于蛋白質純化用途,，研究者們發(fā)現需要一個肽,，該肽與重組蛋白質融合后，能夠結合在streptavidin的生物素結合口袋,，從而作為純化tag,。zui后研究者們成功設計出一個只由8個氨基酸（Trp-Ser-His-Pro-Gln-Phe-Glu-Lys）構成的短序列并稱之為Strep-tag II。為了優(yōu)化結合屬性,，streptavidin也被設計成為Strep-Tactin,。如此，一對優(yōu)化的結合伙伴被發(fā)現了：Strep-tag / Strep-Tactin系統(tǒng)現已成為zui被廣泛應用的親和層析系統(tǒng)之一,。Strep-Tactin與多種不同的基質偶聯,，使Strep-tag融合蛋白得以在生理條件下親和純化。與其他tag相比,，這些溫和的純化參數能保存蛋白質的生物活性,，并僅經一步層析后即可產出超過99%的純度。
