  Reversed-phase and weak cation-exchange on a single column

  The Acclaim Mixed-Mode WCX-1 is a novel, high-efficiency,silica-based column, manufactured by bonding a specially designed proprietary ligand with both hydrophobic and weak cation-exchange properties. Selectivity of ionizable and neutral compounds can be controlled independently or simultaneously by tuning phase ionic strength, pH or organic modifier.This column therefore can separate using multiple separation modes: reversed phase, cation exchange, and normal phase/HILIC.

  The Acclaim Mixed-Mode WCX-1 columns novel column chemistry offers multiple retention mechanisms, including RPLC, cation-exchange, ion-exclusion and HILIC. This feature makes this column versatile in many applications that require different selectivities.
