機器視覺技術(shù)是圖像獲取,、分析,、識別,、檢測等技術(shù)的綜合。在一些不適宜人工作業(yè)的工作環(huán)境或人工視覺難以滿足高精度,、高質(zhì)量要求的場合,，常用機器視覺來代替人工視覺。

李淼表示,，機器視覺強調(diào)實用性,，要求能夠適應(yīng)工業(yè)生產(chǎn)中惡劣的環(huán)境，要有通用的工業(yè)接口,，能夠由普通工作者來操作,，有較高的容錯能力和安全性，不會破壞工業(yè)產(chǎn)品,，必須有較強的通用性和可移植性,。“機器視覺就是機器的‘眼睛和大腦’。”

據(jù)介紹,，機器視覺系統(tǒng)的優(yōu)點有：非接觸測量,，對于觀測者與被觀測者都不會產(chǎn)生任何損傷，從而提高系統(tǒng)的可靠性,；具有較寬的光譜響應(yīng)范圍,，例如使用人眼看不見的紅外測量，擴展了人眼的視覺范圍,；長時間穩(wěn)定工作,，機器視覺可以長時間地作測量、分析和識別任務(wù),。

“對機器視覺工程師來說,，不僅要具有研究數(shù)學(xué)理論和編制計算機軟件的能力，更需要光,、機,、電一體化的綜合能力。”基恩士公司的一位視覺部門銷售工程師表示,。

解決復(fù)雜而困難的應(yīng)用

由于國內(nèi)機器視覺產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展速度明顯加快,，機器視覺行業(yè)高級分析師嚴勝輝預(yù)計，國內(nèi)機器視覺發(fā)展期可持續(xù)到2020年前后,，之后將進入產(chǎn)業(yè)成熟期,。

“在機器視覺的目標跟蹤技術(shù)領(lǐng)域，要著力解決‘看得清,、找得出,、跟得上、打得準’四個問題。”中科院長春光學(xué)精密機械與物理研究所教授朱明曾表示,，機器視覺要進一步解決的問題還有很多,。譬如，其成像技術(shù)要解決在遠距離,、弱目標的情境下,，即使遇到惡劣天氣，也能夠克服器件限制,；目標檢測技術(shù)要進一步提高,，能夠精準檢測到各種背景下的各種目標；目標識別技術(shù)要進一步提高“人工智能”和“人在回路”等,。

“國內(nèi)在機器視覺產(chǎn)品研發(fā)方面雖然取得了一些成果,，但與*進機器視覺技術(shù)和設(shè)備相比還有較大差距。”韓九強提出,，目前國內(nèi)在機器視覺產(chǎn)品研發(fā)方面主要存在技術(shù)水平較低,、應(yīng)用面窄、基本處于軟硬件定制的視覺系統(tǒng)研發(fā)和應(yīng)用階段,、開發(fā)成本高,、效率低等問題；在機器視覺算法研究方面,，仍采用經(jīng)典的數(shù)字圖像處理算法和通用軟件編程開發(fā),，組態(tài)集成開發(fā)能力弱；在產(chǎn)品方面,，擁有自主知識產(chǎn)權(quán)的機器視覺技術(shù)與系統(tǒng)產(chǎn)品較少,，不利于批量生產(chǎn)和推廣。

這些不足和問題,，不僅局限了機器視覺的應(yīng)用范圍,，還讓已有的技術(shù)應(yīng)用復(fù)雜而困難。北京清影機器視覺技術(shù)有限公司總曹亮認為,，目前通用的“機器視覺”多數(shù)是由人工智能計算來實現(xiàn)的,，一種視覺對應(yīng)一種*的軟件和系統(tǒng)，完成一種固定的視覺任務(wù),，在算法和數(shù)據(jù)層面無法實現(xiàn)各視覺系統(tǒng)在機器視覺上的統(tǒng)一,。而且，對于圖像內(nèi)容的理解方面,，由于神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)存在的黑箱性質(zhì),，機器無法達到令人信服的對視覺的理解要求。
